Master in Laws (LLM) Admission Requirements

The following shall be eligible for admission into Master of Laws degree programme:-

  1. A holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Honours (Upper Division) from a recognized University: provided that the applicant satisfies the minimum requirement for admission to an undergraduate degree programme in Law; or
  2. A holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree of a Second-Class Lower Division from a recognized University with a minimum of a three-year working experience provided that the applicant satisfied the minimum requirement for admission to an undergraduate degree programme in Law.
  3. In addition to the above requirements a prospective candidate may also be required by the university to meet the following criteria:
  1. A prospective candidate for Master of Laws programme may be required to produce evidence of competence to work (study) for the degree.
  2. In addition to producing evidence of eligibility for registration candidates for the Master of Laws degree may be required to appear for an interview in the School.

Note:

The senate may decline to admit a candidate whose attainments are not sufficiently high to warrant such admission.

Course Duration

Master of Laws programme shall be offered for 4 semesters.

School Fees

Kshs. 250,000/= per semester.
